New Delhi: As the number of coronavirus cases is growing in Delhi, on Saturday (November 21, 2020), the national capital reported the second highest death toll in the past 24 hours.
At least 118 individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours, according to a health bulletin issued by Delhi. 131 is the highest single-day death toll.
Over the past day as many as 6608 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Delhi. The cumulative COVID-19 cases in Delhi are 5,17,238, which includes 4,68,143 cured cases and 8,159 deaths.
The overall number of experiments completed is 62425, with the positive rate rising to 10.59 percent, while the mortality rate has increased to 1.58 percent based on the last 10 days). The Arvind Kejriwal-led administration, meanwhile, agreed on Thursday to raise the number of RT-PCR tests performed daily from about 18,000 to 27,000.
The CM reported that more than 1,400 ICU beds, including 663 in Delhi Govt Hospitals and 750 at Centre-run facilities, are being planned.
Whereas the fine has been raised from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000 for not wearing masks. Kejriwal also appealed to social groups of all political parties to distribute masks in public places in Delhi.
