Coronavirus update: Over the past 24 hours, India has recorded 45,882 new Covid-19 cases, bringing its count past the 9-million mark. The death toll in the world has climbed to 132,223. Maharashtra has the largest number of coronavirus cases at 17,63,055, followed by 867,780 in Karnataka, 858,711 in Andhra Pradesh, 764,989 in Tamil Nadu, and 545,641 in Kerala. On Thursday, Delhi reported 7,546 fresh coronavirus cases, bringing the city's infection count to 507,000, in addition to registering 98 new fatalities. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has issued an order whereby 42 private hospitals shall reserve 80 per cent of their total ICU bed capacity for Covid-19 patients. 

World coronavirus update: : The worldwide tally of coronavirus cases is 57,194,529. While 39,687,611 have recovered, so far 1,364,511 have died. There are 12,049,640 cases in the US the worst-hit region, and 258,102 have died there from the disease. India, which has 9,004,365 cases, is followed by Brazil (5,981,767), France (2,086,288), and Russia (2,015,608).
