Adar Poonawala, CEO of the serum-making company Serum Institute of India, has said that the Oxford Covid-19 vaccine for healthcare workers and the elderly will arrive by February 2021 next year. He hoped that this vaccine should be available to the general public by April.
During an event, the Chief Executive Officer of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla said that the price of two doses required by the general public would be a maximum of one thousand rupees but it would depend on the final results of the test and the approval of the regulator. Poonawala said that by 2024, probably every Indian would have been vaccinated.
