BBC published the first episode of Death in Bollywood, a three-part forensic report on the death of actor Jiah Khan. The less than one-hour episode was revealed on 11 January, and the next episode will be unveiled for three days before 13 January.
The series is currently only available in the UK.
Khan made a remarkable debut at Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd in front of Amitabh Bachchan. Then she was seen in supporting roles in hit films such as Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini and Akshay Kumar-starrer Housefull.
As mentioned below in the episodes cited by Yahoo Lifestyle, Khan's family feels that many questions about her death remain unanswered.
"The police never found a tracksuit that Jiah had been seen wearing on CCTV just 15 minutes before her death. They quickly concluded that Jiah had been pushed to suicide by her partner. In Indian law, this is a murder, a suicide attempt that holds a jail sentence of up to 10 years. He's denying the charge. Jiah's mother Rabia employs a private forensic investigator who asks questions about forensic findings and argues that the police may have been too quick to believe that this was suicide. She's determined to fight for what she sees as justice for Jiah."
