JK Police seeks help to identify hit-and-run case driver

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday sought help of the general public in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run case in which one person was killed few days before near Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
“Police Awantipora seeks help in tracing out vehicle and Driver involved in case FIR No 173/2018 under section 279,304-A/RPC of police station Awantipora in which one person namely Hussain Bakarwal son of Saheen Bakarwal resident of district Reasi at present Banihal was killed,” said a spokesman.
“The accident had taken place on September 23, when a vehicle hit him (Hussain Bakarwal) at Charsoo, Awantipora,” said SHO Awantipora Mudasir Naseer.
“The photographs obtained from the CCTV footage are of the driver which is involved in this hit & run case.”
“In case of any information/clue about the driver, kindly inform police Awantipora. The name of the person providing any clue or information about the said driver will be kept secret,” said the spokesman.
