JK govt approves 7th pay commission in favour of SSA teachers

Jammu Kashmir government on Wednesday approved to implement 7th Pay commission in favour of SSA teachers who were on path of agitation from a monthly now.
There are about 41,000 teachers under RMSA and SSA and who will get the benefit of 7th pay commission conveyed by Advisor to Governor, Mr. Ganai here on Wednesday in Jammu.
This was decided during a meeting which was chaired by the Governor S P Malik. In the meeting, it was approved that the SSA teachers will get the salary as per 7th pay commission from the current month.
Director school Education, Rakesh Kumar congratulated the teachers and ended the hunger strike of the teachers protesting for a month.
