Tension erupted in Ramban town along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway after some local youths intercepted a truck carrying cattle to Kashmir and set it on fire on Wednesday night. About two dozen bovines were protected by nearby police before the vehicle was set burning, sources said. Its three inhabitants, including the driver, figured out how to get away. The adolescents captured the truck following a tip-off that dairy cattle was supposedly being pirated to the Valley. The truck was promptly given over to police who protected the bovines, while its tenants figured out how to get away.
