Around ten civilians were injured after clashes broke out between the security forces and people in Gadapora village of Shopian village near gunfight site on Friday.
Reports said that soon after the news of the killing of two militants in the encounter spread, youth assembled near the gunfight site and pelted security forces in a bid to thwart the anti-militant operation launched by mixed contingents of security forces.
Following the incident, the injured persons were shifted to nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC) while three of them, one with bullet injuries and two with pellet injuries were shifted to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for the specialized treatment.
The encounter began after a joint Army’s 34 RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon and search operation in Gadapora village and ended up with the killing of two militants.
