Sunny Deol joins BJP

Actor Sunny Deol joins Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on 23rd April in Delhi in the presence of Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway Minister Piyush Goel.
The actor got a ticket to contest the Lok Sabha election 2019. According to reports, the actor will be fielded from Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency in Punjab.
After joining BJP, Sunny Deol said " I wish for Modiji to remain our Prime Minister for another five years. Our youth needs people like him and he has done a lot for our country.
He also added " The way my father [veteran actor Dharmendra] worked with and supported Atal ji, I am here today to work with and support Modi ji. My work will do the talking.
Nirmala Sitharaman said she feels happy that Sunny Deol had been moved with the work of PM Modi and decided to join the party.
Piyush Goel welcomes Deol into the party and said that he hoped that Deol would give as much as to politics as he had given his life in acting. He is confident that Deol would work well in the party. However, he knows very well the amount of effort both professions require.
BJP President Amit Shah met Sunny Deol and convinced him to contest Lok Sabha Election from Punjab.
Sunny Deol's father Dharmendra is currently campaigning for wife Hema Malini in Mathura.
