Days after Congress Party released its Manifesto 2019 in the presence of party stalwarts, the Bhartiya Janata Party released its manifesto, 'Sankalp Patra' on the 8th April. The manifesto is themed on the vision of 'Sankalp Bharat-Shashak Bharat'(Determined India, empowered India). The manifesto was released by PM Narendra Modi, along with BJP party chief Amit Shah. Shah informed that BJP created a record by taking inputs from 6 crore people for the manifesto. It contains 75 resolutions which the party strive to fulfil by 2022.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, introduced the strengths BJP of how the party rose from the mediocre political scenario, maladies like cynical and toxic politics, plagued by indecisiveness in 2014. He said the BJP government set out big, unprecedented programs since 2014 which has transformed the country and how the country is perceived in the world today. Back in 2014, India was ranked 11th major economy, now it has risen to 5th mighty economic power. BJP, he said has proved that they are the performing party and wishes to continue the commendable work for the nation.
A few days ago, Congress's manifesto released by Party President Rahul Gandhi, along with Sonia Gandhi and ex-Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh promised to bring respite to the farmers and also introduced the NYAY(Nyunatam Aya Yogana)scheme. It also claimed that they would tackle the problem of unemployment, which the present government has been unable to deliver. Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who was the head of the manifesto committee, told that the Congress party is a nationalist party whose focuses is on real issues. Their theme is to marry wealth with welfare. Congress party also vent out heavy criticism to BJP's demonetisation, hyper-nationalism and failure in tackling mob lynching. Congress highlighted the main issues that they propose to bring forth, namely, job opportunities, the introduction of 'Kissan Budget', special allocations for Education.
BJP on the other hand, have chosen to propose different slogans for different phases. They will, of course, highlight their biggest asset-'Narendra Modi' and his go-getter persona. They have the campaign slogan 'Ek Baar Phir Modi Sarkar'. The rest of the campaign slogans are as follows: 'Kaam Karne Wali Sarkar', 'Imaandaar Sarkar', '.
BJP supremo emphasized the BJP government's leaps and bound growth. He said the nation is now a 'maha shakti', and decisions taken by the party and PM Modi has been revealed their 'one nation-one mission'. The country's economy and the way the recent terrorism across the border was tackled, has made the world take notice of our country and its capabilities. Their top priorities in the manifesto 2019 are strengthening the armed forces; Zero tolerance to terrorism; Interest-free credit loan for the farmers; Build Ram Mandir as soon as possible. The party also promises to house for all by 2020 and doubling of the farmers' income by next year.
