The protest dharna of Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers’ in support of their demands entered 27th day, today.
Led by Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF, and Neelam Kumari, president, FMPHWs’ Welfare Association, the Female Multipurpose Health Workers staged protest demanding the fulfillment of their long pending demands.
They raised slogans against Government for not fulfilling their long pending demands including permanent solution of salary head 2211, delinking the CSS salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking), fixation of job functions of FMPHWs at par with other working categories of Health Sector, up gradation of the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophth Tech.
They also demanded creation of post of LHVs in new PHCs, publication of seniority list of FMPHWs in the official website of the Health Department for bringing transparency in promotions, 50% quota to be allotted in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated 20-04-1992 which is pending in the administrative department for last 27 years.
One of the protestors said that pending salary of Head 2211 employees working under Family Welfare Department is clear upto August 2018 but on the other side employees working under NPS schemes have not been paid till date.
