RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti acknowledged about the rift going on between his brothers Tejashwi and Tej Pratap. She further said, “Ignore little things and focus on booth management instead in the upcoming election.”
A video of Rajya Sabha MP talking to her party workers in Bihar’s Maner about the issues between brothers has since gone viral.
Misa Bharti urged her party to stay united and said “Even our five fingers are not the same. Similarly, there are differences between the brothers in my family, considering that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is a huge family.
Tejaswi was named as the chief ministerial nominee in a grand rally by Lalu Yadav and his official successor too last year. However, Tej Pratap declared himself as his brother’s “Saarthi” (charioteer)
But the difference between the duo rolled out when Tej Pratap in a press conference in June this year stated the fact that sometimes he felt ignored and sidelines in the party. After a month, he accused some of his party members of being manipulated by the BJP and the RSS.
Moreover, he also attacked senior party leaders and warned them against ignoring youth wing.
He further added, “People don’t want to see me rising in the party fold but till the time my father is alive, no one else can take the big decision.”
The growing feud really bothered Lalu Yadav and he called his son Tejaswi to his cell on 29th September and discussed the matter with him for an hour.
