The National Investigation Agency, in the next few hours will seek the raw India Today tapes regarding the conversion sting carried out by the channel. Sources told India today that the anti-terror investigation agency will be officially seeking the raw tapes. Sources said a Deputy SP from Kochi currently investigating the case has reached Delhi. The officer is expected to hand over an official communication requesting RAW footage. Sources also told India Today that, the agency sleuths are already processing the footage from the news channel site, an open source for the premier investigating agency. The high level source also specified that they may not at this time wish to speak the reporters who conducted the sting, but may concentrate only on the content on the tape. India Today had last month aired the sting which lifted the veil off the non-profit, securing stunning confessions of its top functionaries about its mass proselytising, illegal financing and about its ultimate goal to turn India into a theocratic Islamic state. The PFI, already under NIA investigation, is accused of brainwashing Hindu women and marrying them off to Muslim men.
