In the wake of the capital city’s foul air problem, the Supreme Court (SC) has asked the Delhi government and Environment Pollution Prevention & Control Authority to explore the feasibility of introducing public transport buses run by hydrogen fuel in the city as against regular electric buses.
However, the government informed the court that it was in the process of purchasing 1,000 electric buses, but the court said it was better to adopt future technologies and leap forward from Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to hydrogen fuel.
